Our house has been looking pretty amazing for a while, but I had no idea what a difference the roof would make. It has lost its false front appearance and now looks like the cozy Spanish Olive design we signed on for.
Every step has been so exciting, I almost forgot what the end result was supposed to be. The roof lines have definitely helped jog my memory.
And there’s more to come! The snowy photo above doesn’t yet include the porches or exterior timbers.
I haven’t been to our house since Monday, but John has been taking pictures to keep me up to date:

The rest of the panels were done today – and John missed it. He had to spend a day at his “real” job.
But he’ll be back tomorrow for the crew’s final day with Patrick, when they’ll work on some of the porches.
I’m heading there too, as soon as the final bell rings at school. (Out of my way, kids!) I can’t wait to see the completed roof and to walk through the newly enclosed space. I suspect it won’t take long to forget how I could once see the eagles by looking straight up.
Such an amazing blog! I’ve been sharing it with everyone! Thank you for all the kind words, updates and photos!

Looking good! Can’t wait for it to be finished so we can come and visit. I suspect by now you must have a long waiting list of visitors who are waiting with increasing anticipation.

As you must be aware by now, seeing the Eagles over your new home is a truly good sign. Best wishes for continued good fortune throughout the build.

You and Donna are welcome anytime, Ed! We will have lots of room, and I suspect the eagles will make an appearance for you too.
